Valentine’s Day this year is a profoundly mixed bag. It’s got fantasy and reality, distance and pursuit, pleasure and pain. This seems perfect to me, because really – is there any emotion that love can’t evoke?
First, we have a 5-planet pile-up in Aquarius which includes Venus. She is the role of coquette, flashing a winsome grin as she plays hard to get. And she is squaring Mars, who is in Venus-ruled Taurus. This leaves Mars pining and wanting desperately to possess her, but not knowing quite how to make it happen. However, Mars is also trining Pluto, showing that depth and persistence can lead to something real and lasting.
The interesting thing is that both Venus and Mars are in the “face” or decan on the Moon, showing that Luna is really running the show. And the story she tells is the perfect complement to Venus and Mars.
The Moon starts out in Pisces, fresh from a conjunction with Neptune. Love can be blissful, but it can also be confusing. Sometimes dreams come true, and other times we’re left yearning. But sometimes the yearning is part of the bliss.
As she finishes up in Pisces, the Moon will also sextile Pluto. Love can be obsessive. Sometimes we shock ourselves with the intensity of our own feelings. But love can also be deeply supportive, with roots running deeper than any frost could touch.
Finally, the Moon will move into Aries, where she will conjunct Chiron and sextile Saturn. Sometimes love hurts. It throbs and aches and makes us feel like we’re coming apart at the seams. But if we put in the work, love can also heal. It can soothe our wounds and remind us that no matter what happens, we don’t have to go it alone.
Love is complex! It brings together every possible human experience and wraps it all in one jumbled package. That’s why I love working with clients on relationship issues. With my Relationship Review, using a combination of natal charts, transits, synastry, and composite charts, we work together to untangle those threads. It is so gratifying to see the relief people experience when they finally, finally see things clearly and have the tools to relate to their loved ones in a whole new way.
For one week from Feb 10th– Feb 17th, I’m offering my Relationship Review at the reduced rate of $90. Orders will be handled on a first come, first served basis, and it may take up to a week to complete the review. Give yourself and your loved ones the gift of clarity and understanding this year!
